About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team specializing in affordable housing and multifamily construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to impactful projects that serve communities and enhance urban landscapes. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial part in project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to develop project scopes, manage budgets, and oversee daily operations on-site. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering quality construction solutions.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in project engineering, site engineering, RFIs, and punch list management is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant legal regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and the MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to be onsite regularly and adapt to evolving field conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the successful delivery of our construction projects. Key responsibilities include developing detailed project budgets and scope of work documents, assisting in the procurement process, and managing subcontractor outreach and coordination. You will oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves preparing and reviewing RFIs, change orders, and punch lists to facilitate smooth project progress. You will monitor project schedules, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders regularly. Additionally, the Project Engineer will support project documentation, including progress reports, safety reports, and compliance records. A proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication will be vital for resolving issues swiftly and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
