About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer to join our corporate Marketing Team in Irvine, CA. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and continuously optimizing the company's web-based properties, primarily utilizing WordPress as the core platform. The Web Developer will play a key role in supporting our digital marketing strategies by creating high-performance, user-centric websites that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering engaging online experiences. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in web development and interface design, with demonstrable expertise in WordPress customization, including theme and plugin development. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+) is essential, along with familiarity with modern frameworks like Vue.js or React being a plus. A solid understanding of PHP, WordPress backend architecture, and RESTful API integrations is required. Experience with version control systems like Git, CI/CD workflows, and browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools is necessary. Candidates should have experience managing multiple projects using tools like Asana and possess a strong UI/UX sensibility, with proficiency in Figma or Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Excellent communication skills are vital for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and managing concurrent projects effectively. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is advantageous and will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing all company websites and digital properties, with a primary focus on WordPress environments. This includes creating custom themes and plugins, implementing web projects based on technical specifications, wireframes, and business requirements, and ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. The role involves supporting the management of the web project queue by tracking project statuses, communicating timelines, and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables in coordination with the Marketing Web Services Manager. The candidate must identify, diagnose, and resolve website issues promptly, providing support outside of regular business hours when necessary to maintain business continuity. Integration and maintenance of third-party platforms and APIs, such as CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms, are key responsibilities. Ensuring all web properties comply with relevant federal and state regulations, including CCPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and ADA/WCAG accessibility standards, is critical. The role also requires upholding web development best practices, including mobile-first responsive design, Core Web Vitals performance standards, and SEO hygiene. The developer should stay current with emerging web technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to enhance productivity and innovation. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support organizational objectives.
