
Test Engineer II
Role summary
Honeywell is seeking a Test Engineer II to join their aerospace engineering team in Mississauga, ON. This onsite role involves maintaining the qualification lab, setting up and executing EMI, PQ, and Environmental tests, and creating qualification data packages. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in test build design, and support test estimates and scheduling. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in qualification testing are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with test software, procedures, reporting, specific test equipment, and industry standards like RTCA DO-160.
Job Description
As a Test Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and product performance.
You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of Honeywell’s aerospace engineering projects by maintaining qualification lab, setup and execute tests and creating qualification data.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Qualification Lab and equipment to support Product Group
- Setup and Execute EMI, PQ & Environmental Development and Qualification Tests
- Create Qualification Data Packages to support Test Reports
- Participate in Test Build Design including procurement & working with vendors.
- Test Build Verification and Validation
- Maintain new lab processes
- Support multi-skilling/training of others
- Support test estimates and scheduling.
Qualifications
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in qualification testing (environmental, EMI/EMC, qualification)
We Value
- Experience with Test Software, Procedure and Report writing.
- Test Equipment Experience with EMI Receivers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Amplifiers, Signal generators, antennas, and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of RTCA DO-160, ABD0100.1.2, ABD0100.1.8.1, D6-16050-4 & MIL-STD-461 would be an asset.
- Working experience of EMI, Environmental and Power Quality Test.
The annual base salary for this position starts at $73,600. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
