Position Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Founder/CEO, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business and driving the execution of the company’s growth strategy. This role is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling the company’s operational infrastructure to support a high-growth, multi-entity organization.
The COO will take ownership of operational excellence across all business functions, including media, digital education, events, and product-based revenue streams. This individual will develop and implement scalable systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs), establish accountability across teams, and ensure alignment between strategic priorities and execution. In addition, the media team will report directly to the COO.
The ideal candidate will be passionately committed and aligned with the company’s mission, bringing a strong mix of experience across operations, supervision, business development, education, and events within a high-growth environment. This individual has a proven track record of scaling businesses in the $10M–$30M+ range, particularly in digital education, media, or personal-brand-driven organizations.
This leader is highly hands-on and versatile, excelling at building systems from the ground up and creating structure, accountability, and operational efficiency across the organization. They bring strong business acumen across operations, partnerships, and growth, and are comfortable leveraging technology, CRM platforms (i.e., HubSpot), and data-driven insights to support execution and scalability.

Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Oversee day-to-day business operations across all departments, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Act as a strategic and operational right hand to the Founder/CEO, driving execution and ensuring priorities are implemented effectively
- Drive accountability across teams, ensuring performance, efficiency, and measurable results
- Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to streamline communication and execution across the organization
- Supervise and mentor the media team
Systems, Processes & Infrastructure
- Own the development, documentation, and enforcement of company-wide SOPs across all business functions
- Audit and refine existing workflows to create more granular, scalable operational systems
- Build and implement operational frameworks that improve productivity, reporting, and team accountability
- Identify operational gaps and constraints and implement solutions to improve efficiency and scalability
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including direct oversight of the media team
- Build and scale departments from the ground up, not just manage existing structures
- Foster a high-performance culture centered on ownership, accountability, and execution
- Support hiring, organizational design, and team development as the company grows
Technology, Data & Digital Operations
- Lead the implementation, optimization, or rebuild of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot or similar platforms)
- Leverage data and analytics to inform operational decisions and improve business performance
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into business processes
- Oversee digital operations across education platforms, content, and online experiences
Growth, Partnerships & Business Development
- Own and drive revenue growth across multiple business lines, including digital education, media, events, and products
- Lead the development and execution of strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to drive revenue growth and brand expansion
- Identify, pursue, and secure new partnership and sponsorship opportunities aligned with business growth objectives
- Evaluate opportunities for expansion, revenue diversification, and market positioning
- Collaborate with leadership on scaling strategies and long-term business development initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in operations, including experience as a COO, Head of Operations, or senior operational leader
- Experience working in or scaling a company in the $10M–$30M+ revenue range
- Proven ability to build systems, teams, and operational infrastructure from the ground up
- Experience in digital education, education, media, personal brand-driven businesses, or similar industries strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience implementing or optimizing CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business lines (e.g., media, events, products, education)
- Experience with partnerships, sponsorships, and business development initiatives
- Familiarity with leveraging AI and automation to improve operational efficiency and scalability
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- High level of adaptability, versatility, and hands-on execution ability
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
