Entry-Level Data Analyst (Customer Success Ops)
Role summary
Seeking an Entry-Level Data Analyst to join Customer Success Operations. This role focuses on transforming raw data from CRM, WMS, and E-commerce platforms into actionable insights for sales outreach and profitability analysis. Responsibilities include generating target lists, performing gap analysis for cross-sell opportunities, analyzing customer profitability, and tracking campaign results. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or bootcamp alum eager to work with real-world data, proficient in SQL, comfortable with data normalization, and capable of using scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for automation and API interaction. Familiarity with HubSpot, Shopify/BigCommerce, and Deposco systems is beneficial. This is an onsite, full-time position.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-caliber Data Analyst to serve as the strategic engine of our Customer Success department. This role is responsible for transforming fragmented data from our CRM, WMS, and E-commerce platforms into actionable calling lists and profitability reports. You will be expected to navigate "messy" real-world data to identify opportunities and track the success of outreach campaigns.
Technical Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Must be comfortable with complex joins, window functions (e.g., ROW\_NUMBER(), PARTITION BY), and handling "join explosions" in environments like BigQuery.
- Data Normalization & Deduplication: Proven experience in data canonicalization—normalizing addresses, emails, and company names to create a "single source of truth" from multiple messy datasets.
- Scripting & Automation: Ability to use Python or JavaScript for automating data tasks and interacting with APIs (HubSpot, Shopify, BigCommerce).
- Systems Architecture: Familiarity with the data structures of HubSpot (CRM), BigCommerce/Shopify (E-comm), and Deposco (WMS).
- Business Logic: Understanding of timezone-aware reporting (UTC to Central) and business metrics like margin, customer lifetime value, and "missed cutoffs".
Key Responsibilities:
- Target List Generation: Identify account opportunities
- Gap Analysis: Generate reports on top products purchased vs. not purchased to identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Profitability Reporting: Analyze customer order frequency and individual account profitability to prioritize the outreach queue.
- Campaign Tracking: Measure and report on the conversion results from offers and coupon usage.
You're probably a good fit if:
- You are a recent grad or bootcamp alumni who is incredibly hungry to step away from perfectly clean "tutorial data" and get your hands dirty with messy, real-world business data.
- You are resourceful with modern tools. You regularly leverage AI (like ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate your Python scripting, debug complex SQL queries, or brainstorm data models.
- You love solving puzzles. Finding out *why* a customer record duplicated in HubSpot or figuring out the logic to match Big Commerce orders to a WMS sounds like a fun Friday afternoon to you.
- You focus on the "So What?" You understand that writing a brilliant SQL query doesn't matter unless it actually helps the Customer Success team drive more revenue or save time.
- You are a relentless learner. You might not know every single API endpoint for Shopify or HubSpot yet, but you know how to read the documentation and figure it out quickly.
