Entry Level/Junior Data Analyst & Programmer (CS Degree Required)
Role summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry Level/Junior Data Analyst & Programmer with a BS in Computer Science to join our Customer Success department. This role is crucial for transforming data from CRM, WMS, and E-commerce platforms into actionable insights, calling lists, and profitability reports. You will leverage advanced SQL, BigQuery, and data cleaning techniques to create a single source of truth. Proficiency in Python or JavaScript is required for building API integrations and automating data workflows using tools like Git and AI-assisted coding. The ideal candidate has a builder mentality, a strong work ethic, and business curiosity to understand how their data analysis directly impacts business success.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-caliber Data Analyst to serve as the strategic engine of our Customer Success department. This role is responsible for transforming fragmented data from our CRM, WMS, and E-commerce platforms into actionable calling lists and profitability reports. You will be expected to navigate "messy" real-world data to identify opportunities and track the success of outreach campaigns.
Technical Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Foundation: A BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field is required. You should have a firm grasp of data structures, algorithms, and computational logic.
- Advanced SQL & Architecture: You don't just write queries; you understand how to optimize them. You are comfortable with complex window functions (LEAD/LAG, RANK, PARTITION BY) and architecting views in BigQuery that stay performant even with "join explosions."
- Data Integrity & Normalization: You have a high standard for "Clean Data." You know how to use regex, fuzzy matching, and canonicalization techniques to merge messy, disparate datasets into a single, high-fidelity source of truth.
- Engineering the "Glue": You have the programming skill (Python or JavaScript) to build the connective tissue between our systems. You should be comfortable working with RESTful APIs (HubSpot, Shopify, BigCommerce) and writing scripts that automate multi-step data workflows.
- Version Control & AI Collaboration: You are comfortable using Git for version control and leverage AI-assisted coding (GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to rapidly prototype and debug complex logic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target List Generation: Identify account opportunities
- Gap Analysis: Generate reports on top products purchased vs. not purchased to identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Profitability Reporting: Analyze customer order frequency and individual account profitability to prioritize the outreach queue.
- Campaign Tracking: Measure and report on the conversion results from offers and coupon usage.
You’re a great fit if:
- You have a "Builder" Mentality: You get a genuine dopamine hit from taking a broken, manual process and replacing it with a clean, automated script.
- You’re a "Closer" by Nature: You aren’t a clock-watcher. When you’re deep in the "zone" on a complex script or a data discrepancy, you’re the type of person who naturally wants to stay until the puzzle is solved and the logic is airtight, simply because you have to see it work.
- You are "Business-Curious": You aren't just a code monkey. You want to understand *why* the business needs this data and how your work directly impacts the success of the outreach team and our bottom line.
