Associate Software Engineer

Salary: £82,000 - £99,450 annual

A leading aerospace and defence technology company is looking for an Associate Software Engineer. This role supports the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program through the design and maintenance of non-embedded software. You will work within a dedicated team to translate customer requirements into functional software products that support critical global missions.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the full development lifecycle

• Translate customer requirements into technical software designs and systems integrations

• Handle user inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure product reliability

• Implement emerging technologies and frameworks while adhering to strict safety regulations

• Document software research and execute development projects for mission-critical systems

What we're looking for

• Two or more years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET in a desktop environment

• Proficiency with SQL or other relational database management systems

• Experience with .Net Framework (WinForms) and Windows operating systems

• Knowledge of Web Services including SOAP or Rest protocols

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required high-level security clearances for this role
