A leading aerospace and defence organisation is looking for a Software Developer (Mid Level or Senior), Autonomy and Mission Planning. This role supports an advanced research and development team focused on creating cutting-edge visual modeling, simulation, and autonomous systems. You will work within a collaborative environment to develop software solutions for complex mission planning and prototyping projects.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the full lifecycle

• Translate customer requirements into software architecture and interface definitions

• Lead junior engineers in development tasks and conduct technical peer reviews

• Perform software architecture trade studies and use case development

• Execute unit and integration testing and support system flight testing

What we're looking for

• Five or more years of professional Software Engineering experience

• Three or more years of experience with C++ and Agile development processes

• Two or more years of experience in autonomy or robotics software techniques

• Background in real-time software development and software documentation

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and eligible to obtain a secret security clearance
