An innovative organisation in the national defence and maritime technology sector is looking for an Experienced Computer Engineer. This role focuses on the design and development of mission-critical applications that support the operational capabilities of naval vessels.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop advanced software solutions for shipboard information technology systems.

• Research and conceptualize software applications to enhance maritime operational capabilities.

• Manage the full software development lifecycle for mission-critical onboard systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead innovation and implement forward-thinking ideas.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance within a collaborative engineering environment.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with significant relevant professional experience.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Go.

• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker or Kubernetes.

• Practical knowledge of software engineering practices and automated unit testing.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this position.
