A leading aerospace and defence organisation is looking for a Software Systems Engineer (Senior/Lead). This role supports the Satellite Systems Software Engineering division, focusing on the development of high-performance ground systems and mission-critical software tools. The successful candidate will work in a rapid development environment using modern architecture and agile methodologies.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain requirements and architecture for Command and Control (C2) software solutions.

• Lead software development activities within a scaled agile and DevSecOps environment.

• Integrate completed software components into fully functional, high-performance systems.

• Manage project functions such as Cost Account Management, Product Ownership, or Release Train Engineering.

• Deliver progress demonstrations to customer representatives and program leadership.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience with software development for space systems and ground segments.

• Proven expertise in software engineering within a DevSecOps and CI/CD framework.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.

• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for complex software ecosystem challenges.

• Candidates must be eligible under applicable regulations to access export-controlled information and obtain required clearances.
