Associate Software Engineer

Location: Missouri, Hazelwood, 63042 | Type: Hybrid | Salary: £82,000 - £99,450 annual

A leading aerospace and defense organization is looking for an Associate Software Engineer. This role supports the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program by designing and maintaining non-embedded software throughout the full development lifecycle. You will translate customer requirements into functional software products while ensuring compliance with rigorous safety and government standards.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain non-embedded software products for systems integration

• Review and translate customer requirements into initial software designs

• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency

• Implement emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to defense software development

• Execute and document software research and development projects

What we're looking for

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required security clearances for this role

• Two or more years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET in a desktop environment

• Proficiency with SQL or other relational database systems

• Experience with .Net Framework (WinForms) and Web Services (SOAP or Rest)

• This position requires access to export-controlled information and adherence to government regulations
