Role summary

INEOS Acetyls is seeking a Product Manager for its Texas City, Texas location to lead short- and mid-term production planning for the Acetyls operating plant. This role focuses on aligning manufacturing capabilities with commercial demand, optimizing supply-demand balances, and managing feedstock and raw material purchases. The Product Manager will work closely with the Business Manager and cross-functional teams to support planning meetings, ensure safe and efficient operations, and analyze business performance. A degree in Engineering and 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or commercial roles are required, along with strong business modeling and supply chain understanding.

INEOS Acetyls is seeking a Product Manager to support its Texas City, Texas location. This role is responsible for leading short- and mid-term production planning for the Acetyls operating plant in Texas City, ensuring alignment between manufacturing capabilities and commercial demand. The Product Manager plays a key role in optimizing regional and global supply-demand balances, particularly during turnarounds and unplanned plant outages. Working closely with the Business Manager and cross-functional stakeholders, the role supports Americas Acetyls planning and operations meetings and contributes to safe, reliable, and efficient business performance.

Accountabilities

  • SPA for forecasting process into business models.
  • Day-to-day maintenance of supply-demand balances in line with the annual plan including management of purchases and swaps. Maintain asset optimization processes and tools to this end.
  • Ensure all feedstock nominations are in line with output of the Planning/Operation meeting.
  • Ensure all raw materials are purchased in accordance with contracts process. (Work with legal, logistics, credit).
  • Member of the Business Support Team (Crisis Management).
  • Planning and scheduling of products, working closely with Logistics team.
  • Setting prioritization of customers and transload shipments during periods of limited supply
  • On-going analysis of the business performance; driving insight of performance beyond the numbers. Identify and highlight trends/issues that help to focus business activities.
  • Maintain and enhance contribution reporting capability, embed its use in the wider commercial team, and use the capability to target outlying customers.
  • Support the Finance team to accurately report PU financial performance and variance analysis as required for acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and ethyl acetate.

Required profile:

  • Level of education & Experience in general
  • Qualified to degree level in Engineering degree is required (preferably Chemical, Mechanical or a similar discipline)
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics and/or commercial.
  • Must demonstrate excellent problem solving & influencing skills to provide the best business outcome in a dynamic work environment.

Technical skills

  • Must be comfortable in running business models (excel based) and the basic principles of cash and financial management.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of supply chain / logistics and customer specific requirements.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong time management, organization and solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-reliant, and proactive mindset.
  • Must have experience using MS Office applications. SAP applications desirable.
