Role summary

Infineon is seeking interns for Applied AI Engineering roles to shape the future of technology. Interns will work on real projects with real impact, focusing on agentic AI development, data mining from data lake repositories, and developing LLM/SLM tools for device configuration automation. Responsibilities include leveraging ML/NLP algorithms and utilizing SQL/NoSQL databases. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science, with proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or MATLAB, and familiarity with AI frameworks like Hugging Face or LangChain. An interest in embedded systems, power electronics, or configuration workflows is also desired.

Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Agentic AI Development: Build agentic AI tools to enhance software and firmware development workflows\
  • Data Mining: Analyze and extract insights from configuration data stored in data lake repositories
  • LLM/SLM Tools: Develop application-level large/small language models for device configuration automation
  • Machine Learning/NLP: Leverage ML and NLP algorithms to solve real-world engineering problems
  • Database Expertise: Utilize SQL/NoSQL databases for data storage, access, and analysis
  • Programming Languages: Apply Python, JavaScript, and other tools for AI and software development tasks

Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Education: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or MATLAB
  • AI Frameworks: Familiarity with tools such as Hugging Face or LangChain for LLM/SLM development
  • Multidisciplinary Focus: Interest in embedded systems, power electronics, or configuration workflows
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data analysis workflows
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong communication skills for teamwork and agile development environments

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:
Minimum of $29.00 per hour
Maximum of $39.00 per hour
Hourly rate will depend on the highest level of education completed.
