Platform Engineer
Role summary
INflow Federal is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join their IT modernization team. This role involves developing and maintaining a Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains, supporting various application stacks and data services. The engineer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift environments in cloud and datacenter settings, supporting operators, deploying to new sites, integrating requirements, ensuring security compliance, and supporting data services. Experience with AWS, Linux distributions, CI/CD tools, and container technologies is essential. A TS/SCI clearance and ability to commute to Springfield, VA are required.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services
Duties:
- O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
- Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
- Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
- Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
- Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
- Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
- Compile detailed documentation
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline (or 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree)
- 5-8 years Developer experience
- Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Python, Shell scripting, Git
- Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
- CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
Clearance Requirement:

Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
