Role summary

About the Role

to help build the next generation of DocuSign’s
eSignature Platform Services

Notifications and Settings Engineering team

This role involves developing
highly scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems
that sit at the core of customer workflows. You will work on backend-heavy systems while contributing across the stack when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and maintain
high-scale distributed backend services
- Build and enhance
APIs
powering multi-device, responsive, and AI-driven customer experiences
- Develop
highly available, performant, and secure web services
- Drive engineering excellence through
CI/CD, automation, and best practices
- Work with
telemetry and monitoring systems
to solve complex problems using data
- Collaborate on system design, scalability, and failure handling strategies
- Mentor engineers through
code reviews and design discussions
- Contribute across the stack when required (backend-heavy focus)
- Continuously ship incremental improvements in an agile environment
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years
of software engineering experience
- Strong
backend development focus
(full-stack acceptable but backend-leaning)
- Proficiency in:
- C# / .NET
- Node.js
- Deep understanding of:
- Web services architecture
- Client-server systems
- Distributed systems design
- Experience building
highly scalable and resilient systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
SaaS or cloud-based platforms
- Familiarity with
SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with

- Background working in
high-scale production environments
