Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with an accounting degree and a career-trajectory in mind, seeking to develop corporate accounting skills necessary to be a future financial leader. The Accounting Associate will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, including IFRS. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, be eager to learn and grow within the organization, and be innovative in developing process efficiencies, automations and software integrations.

Duties

  • Prepare and manage customer invoicing and support AR reporting.
  • Enter and validate expense-related transactions (purchases, expense claims) with accurate coding and documentation.
  • Maintain organized records to support external audit requirements.
  • Support payroll processes (timesheet review, vacation liability support) and reporting for project costing.
  • Assist with internal reporting, budgeting support, and management reporting activities.
  • Learn month-end routines, account analysis, and compliance basics (e.g., documentation, controls).
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and better software integrations.

Qualifications

  • Accounting degree (new grad), BCom/BBA with Accounting major, or equivalent.
  • Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles; comfort learning IFRS concepts.
  • Advanced Excel skills (or near-advanced with clear interest in leveling up).
  • Comfortable with systems; interest in automation/process design.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and team collaboration mindset.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus (or similar cloud accounting tools).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
