Sr. Research Data Analyst (International Health)
Role summary
The Center for Indigenous Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health seeks a Sr. Research Data Analyst to build complex data models and conduct advanced data analysis for research projects. This role involves managing multi-site survey data, developing SOPs for data entry and updates, overseeing quality control, and performing statistical analyses. The analyst will also build transmission models, create research software tools, and develop data visualizations (infographics, graphs) for diverse audiences. Collaboration on manuscripts, including drafting methods sections, is also expected. A Master's degree and one year of related experience are required, with proficiency in R and its packages strongly preferred.

The Sr. Research Data Analyst will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and database of survey data from multi-site study.
- Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
- Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
- Develop data models.
- Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
- Build transmission models.
- Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Create infographics and other data visualization for wide ranging communication of data to academic and non-academic audiences.
- Manuscript collaboration, including creating graphs and figures as well as drafting content for methods section.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- One year of related experience.
- Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with R and its relevant packages (e.g., dplyr, gmodels, ggplot2) to perform data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling.
- Mixed methods research experience
