Sr. Data Analyst
Role summary
Integra is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its growing data architecture and governance practice. This role will be pivotal in supporting initiatives from the Chief Data Officer's group, focusing on Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Governance. The analyst will advance capabilities within the data hub, analyze complex clinical data from various sources (EHRs, Practice Management systems, Registries, CMS, Payers), and determine integration points. Responsibilities include converting business requirements into pseudo code, troubleshooting code, creating technical documentation, and serving as an analysis SME. The role requires 5 years of experience with healthcare data and SQL, familiarity with EDI, HL7, FHIR, MDM, RDM, Metadata management, and OHDSI/OMOP tools.
Integra’s data architecture/data governance practice is starting to grow and there is a need to augment the current group. The Senior Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting initiatives sponsored through the Chief Data Officers group; this includes but is not limited to Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Governance. This individual will focus on advancing capabilities within the data hub, which serves as the foundation for Integra’s data architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Support initiatives driven by the office of the CDO.
- Convert business requirements into pseudo code to conduct a feasibility analysis.
- Partner with clinical operations to analyze complex clinical data sets sourced from the following: EHRs, Practice Management systems, Registries, CMS, and Payers.
- Analyze disparate sources to determine integration points.
- Manage assigned timelines and deliverables to support overall organizational goals.
- Troubleshoot existing code to identify defects.
- Work with 3rd party technology teams to integrate, implement, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Serve as the analysis SME for the office of the CDO.
- Create technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ hands-on experience working with healthcare data (EHR, PM, Payer Files, etc.).
- 5 years’ experience writing SQL.
- Experience with EDI, HL7 and FHIR.
- Excellent communication skills — ability to translate technical requirements into technical concepts.
- Working within a sprint team using Jira to track tasks.
- Firm understanding of concepts related to MDM, RDM, and Metadata management.
- Experience managing priorities and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of data normalization techniques and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Experience working on complex projects with multiple teams onshore and offshore.
- Team player but the ability to work independently given specific tasks.
- Understanding of OHDSI tools and OMOP database.
