Shift: First Shift
The HRIS Data Analyst supports data integrity, reporting, and process improvement across HR technology platforms. This role is ideal for an early-career data and systems professional who is highly proficient in Excel, comfortable building dashboards, and motivated to grow HR analytics and HRIS administration skills. The analyst partners with HR leaders to translate questions into data insights, maintains HR system accuracy, and improves HR workflows through training and automation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
HRIS and Data Administration
- Maintain Paylocity system integrity through routine audits, validation checks, and documentation
- Support security and role-based access in partnership with HR leadership and IT
- Ensure consistent data definitions, required fields, and data entry standards
- Support annual total rewards systems and leverage underutilized modules and automation
Dashboards, Reporting, and Analytics
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using Excel and HRIS tools
- Produce ad hoc reports for internal leaders and external stakeholders (accreditation, grants, audits, compliance)
- Analyze workforce trends such as headcount, turnover, retention, diversity metrics (as approved), and staffing patterns
Employee Listening and Insights
- Serve as primary owner of Qualtrics for engagement and pulse surveys
- Manage survey governance including question libraries, distribution lists, schedules, and reporting templates
- Oversee Paylocity exit survey administration and reporting, including monthly and quarterly trends
Time and Labor Reporting Support
- Provide timely reporting to support camp hours management and staffing decisions
- Monitor overtime patterns and labor utilization trends and share insights with stakeholders
Recruitment Analytics
- Track recruiting metrics and funnel performance within Pereless
- Provide regular summaries on sources, conversion rates, cycle times, and seasonal staffing needs
Systems Enablement, Training, and Process Improvement
- Act as a power user across Paylocity, Qualtrics, Pereless, Trello, and Salesforce (as applicable)
- Create user guides, reference tools, and training materials for HR team members
- Identify workflow improvement opportunities and support implementation
AI-Supported Efficiency
- Use approved AI tools to enhance reporting, summarize insights, and support automation while protecting confidential data
- Follow organizational guidelines regarding appropriate AI data usage
Experience and Skills:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in data, reporting, HR operations, or systems support
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, data validation, and charting
- Experience building dashboards or recurring reports
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, ATS, survey platforms, CRM, or workflow tools
- Familiarity with Paylocity, Qualtrics, Pereless, Trello, or Salesforce
- Experience creating documentation and training end users
- Basic understanding of data governance concepts such as data definitions, audit trails, and access controls
