QA Software Engineering Intern

Intl. Farming | Part-Time, Tue/Wed/Thu | On-Site | $25/hr

<About Intl. Farming>

Founded in 2009, International Farming Investment Management's mission is to empower farmers, grow consciously, and feed the world. We pursue this through investment management, active farm management, Intelligent Farming™ technology, and our Top Solutions® program. With approximately $2 billion in AUM across three funds and two co-investments, we operate at the intersection of agriculture, technology, and impact, managing 80+ crop types across more than 25 million gross acres globally.

Our flagship product, FarmAdvisor, is the software platform that powers our Intelligent Farming™ operations. Our team is small, collaborative, and moves fast. If you want to do real work that matters from day one, you'll fit right in.

<The Role>

We're looking for an energetic, curious QA Engineering Intern to join our team part-time (3 days/week, on-site). You'll be working directly in our production codebase, finding and fixing bugs, writing unit tests, and helping us ship reliable software through structured release testing. This isn't a passive role. You'll own quality work from day one and have a real impact on the product our clients use every day.

This is a great fit for someone studying computer science, software engineering, or a related field who has a strong interest in software quality and testing, and is comfortable jumping between tasks as the business demands.

<What You'll Do>

  • Find, reproduce, and triage bugs across the FarmAdvisor platform
  • Write and maintain unit tests to improve code coverage and catch regressions early
  • Support release cycles with structured regression testing across web, mobile, and data tools
  • Document issues clearly with reproducible steps, screenshots, and supporting context
  • Work closely with developers to verify bug fixes before they ship
  • Pitch in on other tasks as the team needs, we're a small team and wear a lot of hats

<What You'll Learn>

  • Hands-on QA practices in an active production environment
  • How software is built, tested, and deployed at a growing SaaS company
  • Unit testing frameworks and real-world test writing experience
  • The agriculture technology industry and the unique data challenges it presents
  • How AI is being applied to real business problems, we use it every day

<What We're Looking For>

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar - or simply someone with energy, curiosity, and a desire to break into the industry
  • Strong interest in software quality, testing, or reliability engineering
  • Detail-oriented, you notice things others miss
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without being micromanaged
  • Comfortable context-switching and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal
  • GitHub experience is strongly desired
  • Bonus: familiarity with Angular, GraphQL, Freshdesk, or other bug tracking and development tools

<Details>

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9-5, on-site
  • Compensation: $25/hour
  • Type: Part-time internship, rolling/ongoing

*Intl. Farming is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.*

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week

Work Location: In person
