Role summary

The Community Wellness Program Manager (CWPM) reports to the Senior Manager of Wellness Programs and is responsible for overseeing Contribution Agreements for the Family Wellness Centre and Transitional Housing Addiction Recovery Program. The role involves implementing wellness programs aligned with IRC's strategic direction, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing oversight to site coordinators in Inuvik. The CWPM will ensure effective service delivery, integrating Inuvialuit cultural values, managing intake, supervising staff, developing programs, and fostering stakeholder relationships to meet community needs across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Wellness Programs, the Community Wellness Program Manager (CWPM) is responsible for overseeing various Contribution Agreements (CAs) associated with the Family Wellness Centre (FWC), the Transitional Housing Addiction Recovery Program (THARP) and implementing wellness programs that align with the strategic direction of the IRC. They will also provide oversight for the site coordinators by ensuring adherence to policies, the application of best practices, and compliance with all regulatory requirements related to wellness facility programs in Inuvik.

The CWPM will ensure the effective delivery of services, incorporating Inuvialuit cultural values and traditions into all program activities. The incumbent will manage intake processes, supervise program staff, develop recovery and family wellness programs, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs meet the needs of the six communities within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR).

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wellness programming, community services, or related fields.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Community Wellness, Addictions Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and knowledge of Inuvialuit culture.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and recovery support programs.
  • Project management experience.
