In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to influence DevOps practices across several products and environments while working with a high degree of independence.
If you appreciate a mix of projects, like supporting different client needs, and want to help guide how DevOps is implemented across an organization, we’d be excited to connect with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure across both Azure and AWS
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions, mainly using Terraform (with occasional use of Bicep or CloudFormation)
- Build CI/CD pipelines from the ground up using Azure DevOps
- Manage multiple client environments (Dev, Test, Demo, Production) and ensure consistency and performance
- Containerize applications with Docker; contribute to Kubernetes‑based implementations as needed
- Incorporate automated testing into build and deployment pipelines
- Implement security‑first practices including IAM governance, auditing, SBOM generation, and dependency scanning
- Set up structured logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident‑response workflows
- Lead or participate in post‑incident analysis, root‑cause investigations, and follow‑up action items
- Promote and track cost‑efficient cloud usage through resource tagging and optimization
- Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, processes, and technical decisions
- Operate independently while supporting multiple internal and external stakeholders
Additional Expectations
When DevOps work is lighter, you’ll contribute directly to software development efforts. Candidates should have practical programming experience—ideally in .NET/C#, Angular, and Python—and be comfortable contributing to production‑level codebases when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a similar hands‑on technical role
- Strong working experience with Azure and AWS
- Proven ability to build IaC solutions using Terraform
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of Docker and containerized workflows
- Background supporting multi‑environment deployment setups
- Experience integrating automated tests into build and release pipelines
- Familiarity with compliance/security frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Knowledge of IAM fundamentals, auditing practices, and security/dependency scanning tools
- Ability to manage multiple client environments with limited oversight
- Strong communication skills and consistent documentation habits
Nice to Have
- Kubernetes experience
- Knowledge of Bicep or CloudFormation
- Exposure to observability tooling (logging stacks, metrics, alerting systems)
- Experience driving incident response or facilitating postmortems
- Consulting experience or working with multiple cross‑functional teams
- Cloud cost‑optimization background
