Role summary
A large Investment Bank is seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Data Scientist for a long-term contract role in Toronto. The position requires 5+ years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, with strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for building, training, validating, and deploying ML models in production, and must have a solid understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques. Experience with AWS and handling large datasets is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, MLOps, and familiarity with banking or financial services industries. This role involves 3 days onsite per week and requires a face-to-face interview.

5+ years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and ML frameworks
Experience building, training, validating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques.
Experience working with AWS
Ability to work with large structured and unstructured datasets.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or NLP solutions.
Exposure to MLOps, model monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries.
