About Iteranium

Iteranium is a smart manufacturing consulting and technology company focused on transforming traditional factories into intelligent, data-driven production systems.

We work directly with manufacturers to analyze their production environments—from mechanical and electrical systems to automation and data infrastructure—and design architectures that bring machine data into modern analytics and AI platforms.

Our approach combines:

  • industrial engineering
  • automation systems
  • factory networking
  • edge computing
  • data platforms
  • artificial intelligence

We help organizations move from isolated machines to connected, intelligent factories.

Role Overview

We are seeking Industrial Systems Intelligence Engineers who have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing environments and industrial automation systems.

This role is focused on understanding factories end-to-end—from the physics of machines to the data signals they generate.

Engineers in this role will visit client manufacturing facilities, study the production environment, analyze machine systems, and design how factory signals can be captured and integrated into modern industrial data platforms.

This is a systems thinking role that bridges:

  • manufacturing engineering
  • industrial automation
  • factory networking
  • industrial data engineering

Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Systems Analysis

Visit client factories and conduct technical studies of manufacturing environments, including:

  • production lines and workflows
  • machine operations and cycle behavior
  • mechanical and electrical systems
  • automation architectures
  • sensor and signal availability

Understand the physical and operational behavior of production systems.

Machine Signal & Control System Analysis

Analyze existing automation infrastructure including:

  • PLC systems
  • robotics controllers
  • CNC machines
  • machine sensors and actuators
  • industrial controllers

Identify machine signals such as:

  • machine states
  • cycle start and completion
  • alarms and faults
  • production counts
  • process parameters

Industrial Connectivity Architecture

Design how machines connect to factory networks and edge infrastructure, including:

  • industrial gateways
  • edge computing servers
  • machine data collectors
  • secure data pipelines

Work with protocols such as:

  • OPC UA
  • Modbus
  • Profinet
  • Ethernet/IP
  • MQTT

Translate raw machine signals into structured industrial data models used for:

  • production analytics
  • operational dashboards
  • performance monitoring
  • AI-based optimization

Edge Computing Integration

Help deploy systems that:

  • collect machine data at the factory edge
  • preprocess signals locally
  • securely transmit production data to centralized platforms

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Automation
  • Robotics Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or industrial systems
  • Hands-on experience working with machines on factory floors
  • Ability to understand:
  • PLC logic
  • electrical control diagrams
  • machine signal structures
  • industrial networks

Preferred Technical ExperiencePLC Systems
