Senior Agentic Software Engineer

Rate: 85/hr on W2Duration:
5+ Months Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a
Senior Agentic Software Engineer
to design, build, and operate
production-grade AI agent systems
that automate and enhance real business workflows.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy
agentic AI systems
for real-world applications
- Architect solutions using patterns such as:
- Single-agent and multi-agent systems
- Workflow-based and human-in-the-loop systems
- Build agents with capabilities including:
- Planning, memory, tool usage, and multi-step execution
- Develop solutions using frameworks such as:
- LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or equivalent
- Implement
RAG and MCP-based integrations
for data and tool access
- Ensure
security, access control, and observability
across all systems
- Integrate agentic systems into enterprise platforms via APIs and services
- Define and track performance metrics such as:
- Accuracy, latency, cost, success rate, and failure modes
- Build
evaluation pipelines
, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems
- Design fallback, recovery, and human escalation mechanisms
- Collaborate with product and domain teams to deliver business impact
- Establish
best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines

• Internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage)
• Kubernetes (controllers, operators, control planes)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Cloud and on-premise system deployment
• Observability, monitoring, and system reliability

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of software engineering experience (backend/systems focus)
- Proven experience building
LLM-based or AI-powered applications
- Hands-on experience with
agentic systems, RAG, and tool integration (MCP or similar)
- Strong programming skills in
Python (preferred)
or similar languages
- Experience building
production APIs and backend services
- Experience designing systems with:
- Observability
- Evaluation frameworks
- Production reliability

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with
Go or TypeScript
- Exposure to
DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- Experience with
Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with
CI/CD tools and Git workflows
- Familiarity with AI/ML system design and deployment
