This role offers the opportunity to shape and enhance the software release lifecycle in a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Release Engineering team, you will design, build, and maintain systems and tools that enable automated, reliable, and scalable software delivery. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to improve release quality, reduce manual processes, and increase developer productivity. The position involves contributing to distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment orchestration while driving improvements in tooling and automation. This role offers exposure to modern cloud platforms and distributed systems patterns, providing a platform to influence the efficiency and reliability of software delivery at scale. Accountabilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain tools and systems for release automation and deployment workflows
  • Write clean, concurrent, and reliable code to support distributed systems and build pipelines
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement improvements in release processes and developer productivity
  • Document technical designs, operational procedures, and best practices for deployment workflows
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute practical, scalable engineering solutions
  • Continuously explore automation patterns, testing strategies, and workflow designs to increase release confidence
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency and release reliability

Requirements

  • Strong coding ability in Go, Java, or similar languages
  • Solid understanding of concurrency, multi-threaded programming, and distributed systems
  • Experience contributing to backend systems, tooling, infrastructure, or developer workflows
  • Familiarity with release automation concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment orchestration
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and container tooling
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, remote or distributed environment
  • Track record of solving moderately complex problems with maintainable solutions
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
