Role Overview
We are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software applications supporting advanced aerospace systems. This role focuses on enhancing core platform software, including device drivers, system services, and avionics communication layers. You will work closely with hardware and cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability, safety-critical software solutions aligned with industry certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for avionics platforms
- Enhance core platform components such as device drivers, file systems, networking, and boot software
- Support avionics communication systems and input/output (I/O) software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
- Perform software integration, testing, debugging, and issue resolution
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Develop documentation for requirements, design, verification, and certification
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and software engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ for real-time systems
- Experience with software testing, debugging, and integration
- Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time operating systems such as Deos™ or similar
- Knowledge of safety-critical software standards (DO-178B/DO-178C)
- Experience in avionics or aerospace software development
- Familiarity with embedded system architecture and hardware interaction
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
