The engineer will process network data (NetFlow, sFlow, SNMP, logs, packet data), build data models for performance analytics and anomaly detection, and implement real-time monitoring. Responsibilities include integrating data from network devices, developing dashboards, ensuring data quality, and automating workflows. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of data engineering experience with networking exposure are required, along with a strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols.

We are seeking a Network Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions focused on network infrastructure and telemetry. This role bridges networking and data engineering, enabling real-time visibility, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest and process network telemetry (NetFlow, sFlow, SNMP, logs, packet data).
  • Integrate data from network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) into centralized data platforms.
  • Build and maintain data models to support network performance analytics, capacity planning, and anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to translate operational requirements into data solutions.
  • Implement real-time and batch processing frameworks for network monitoring and alerting.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools for network insights and KPIs.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across network data systems.
  • Automate data workflows and infrastructure using scripting and orchestration tools.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by analyzing network data and identifying patterns or anomalies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with exposure to networking environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols like BGP/OSPF)
