We are seeking a Network Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions focused on network infrastructure and telemetry. This role bridges networking and data engineering, enabling real-time visibility, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest and process network telemetry (NetFlow, sFlow, SNMP, logs, packet data).
- Integrate data from network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) into centralized data platforms.
- Build and maintain data models to support network performance analytics, capacity planning, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to translate operational requirements into data solutions.
- Implement real-time and batch processing frameworks for network monitoring and alerting.
- Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools for network insights and KPIs.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across network data systems.
- Automate data workflows and infrastructure using scripting and orchestration tools.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by analyzing network data and identifying patterns or anomalies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with exposure to networking environments.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols like BGP/OSPF)
