Role summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III with expertise in public cloud identity and access management to join their Cloud Foundational Services team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platforms. Key responsibilities include implementing cloud security best practices, participating in IAM governance and audits, and leveraging agile development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in cloud platforms, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC), IaC with Terraform, and scripting in Python and GoLang.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer III – Multiple Cloud Platforms at JPMorgan Chase's Cloud Foundational Services team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for delivering critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platforms
- Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance, including identity management, encryption, key management, organizational policies, and using least privileged semantics.
- Participate in IAM governance and compliance audit exercises
- Leverage agile development practices in a fast-paced environment with strong focus on feature delivery
Deliver secure from the start solutions which incorporate security in depth

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Proficiency in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platforms services such as Compute, Cloud Storage, Structure/Unstructured Databases and Kubernetes Engine
  • Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC.
  • Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures using cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) services.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, IaC provisioning and scripting with Python and GoLang.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with SQL
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) Associate level or above professional certification
