We are seeking a Release Engineer/DevOps Engineer to automate, deploy, and manage complex software systems across cloud and on-premises environments. This role is crucial for driving CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, secure, and performant software releases. Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Release Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of automating, deploying, and managing complex software systems across cloud and on-premises environments. Your expertise will drive continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring seamless software releases that meet high standards of quality, security, and performance. Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or TFS.
  • Manage containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenStack to facilitate scalable deployment environments.
  • Configure and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and private cloud solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Monitor system health with tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and WebSphere to ensure optimal performance and rapid troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate software projects with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN, and TFS.
  • Oversee release management processes from requirements gathering through deployment to production environments while ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Maintain security protocols by managing firewalls, identity & access management (IAM), DNS configurations, and cloud security best practices.
  • Conduct system testing and debugging for enterprise software applications built on Java, C#, .NET, Ruby on Rails, Python, Groovy, Perl, Node.js or other technologies.
  • Support incident response efforts by analyzing logs via Log analysis tools like Splunk or ELK stack and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), IT infrastructure standards, and compliance policies during all phases of release cycles.

Experience

  • Proven experience in DevOps or Release Engineering roles supporting enterprise-scale software deployments.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), virtualization (VMware), and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD pipelines or TFS for automated build/test/deploy workflows.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, Ruby or Perl for automation tasks.
  • Experience managing databases like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle; including SQL/PLSQL/T-SQL scripting for data management.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Weblogic/WebSphere application servers; NGINX; JBoss; Tomcat; Web services; RESTful APIs; TCP/IP networking; DNS; Active Directory; firewall configuration; disaster recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum frameworks along with requirements gathering and project management tools like Jira or TFS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as New Relic or Splunk for performance tuning and incident management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to distributed systems across UNIX/Linux environments while maintaining high system availability.
