
Warehouse Specialist
Role summary
A Warehouse Specialist is needed for an on-site role in Houston, TX. This position involves comprehensive warehouse and inventory management, including planning, tracking, purchasing, and organizing. Responsibilities include fulfilling inventory requests, preparing products for shipment, refurbishing returned units, performing media extractions, and handling shipping and receiving. The role requires safe operation of warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and involves significant driving (up to 90% of the time) for product deliveries and occasional assistance with installation. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and performing other assigned duties are also key. The ideal candidate is a team player, adaptable, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and can work in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and availability for a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends are mandatory. Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs is required. A high school diploma/GED is necessary, and previous warehouse experience is preferred.
Warehouse Specialist
Location: On-site - Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Managing Warehouses and Inventories including, but not limited to inventory planning, tracking, purchasing, relocations, disposal and organizing of warehouse facilities.
- Inventory Support: Accurately pull inventory requests for technicians; communicate clearly regarding availability, shortages, or discrepancies for technician van stock.
- Facility Access: Answer warehouse doors and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and delivery drivers.
- Attentive documentation and reporting using Home Water provided systems and services.
- Product preparation including, system flushing, packaging, labeling and cleaning.
- Refurbishment: Complete refurbishment of returned units, including Countertop systems and Under-Counter (UC) units.
- Media Extraction: Perform media extractions and prepare Whole Home units, well units, and softeners to company standards.
- Prepping, Shipping and Receiving of freight
- Safely managing and operating Electric pallet stacker, forklift and pallet jacks
- Potentially driving/ride along for product deliveries and assisting product installation
- Responsible for warehouse cleanliness and disposal of garbage to bins
- Driving during the day is required up to 90 %25 of the time; occasional travel outside of Houston.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Team player who is able to work in a fast-pace environment
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills;
- Able to lift over 50 lbs.
- Must have valid driver’s license and your own transportation;
- Available to work a flexible schedule with evening and weekends;
- High school diploma/GED required
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Adaptability to work within various mobile applications and systems
