Role summary
Kaimetrix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support mission-critical systems in a secure government environment. This role involves hands-on software engineering and disciplined QA practices to ensure reliable, well-tested software releases. The position covers the full software delivery lifecycle, including design, development, configuration and change management, integration, testing, and release management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, QA, automated testing, web application testing, Agile methodologies, and Azure DevOps Server, along with a Master's or Bachelor's degree and an active TS/SCI clearance.

This role combines hands‑on software engineering with disciplined quality assurance practices to ensure reliable, well‑tested software releases. The position supports the full software delivery lifecycle, including design, development, configuration and change management, integration, testing, and release management.
### What you’ll do
- Perform software engineering activities including software design, writing source code, source code control, and code review
- Support configuration management and change management activities to ensure controlled and traceable releases
- Execute and support program testing, software integration, and release management processes
- Write and maintain code for automated Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) tests to improve test coverage and repeatability
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate system functionality and readiness
- Test and validate web‑based applications throughout the development lifecycle
- Operate within an Agile development process, supporting iterative delivery and continuous improvement
- Use Azure DevOps Server as the source code repository to support version control, collaboration, and traceability
### Qualifications
- Eight (8) years of experience in software design, writing source code, source code control, code review, configuration management, change management, program testing, software integration, and release management
- Five (5) years of experience in software development and software quality assurance
- Five (5) years of experience writing code for automated QA/QC tests
- Five (5) years of experience with web‑based testing applications
- Five (5) years of experience working within an Agile development process
- Five (5) years of experience performing manual and automated testing
- Three (3) years of experience working with Azure DevOps Server (source code repository)
### Education Requirements
- Master’s degree in software design, engineering, or computer science with eight (8) years of experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in software design, engineering, or computer science with ten (10) years of experience in the same disciplines
### Security & Certification Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI, with the ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret access
- DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification
