Role summary

Keesler Federal Credit Union is seeking an Operations Support Data Analyst to join their team in Gulfport. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to branch/call center performance, member behavior, and operational metrics. The analyst will design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, provide actionable insights for decision-making, and maintain performance dashboards tracking key retail KPIs. Responsibilities include monitoring trends, conducting ad-hoc analysis, ensuring data integrity, and acting as a primary data liaison between Retail Operations and other departments. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required, with familiarity in SSIS and strong analytical skills being key. Experience in financial services is preferred.

Position: Operations Support Data Analyst

Department: Operations Support

Reports To: Director - Operations Support and Special Projects

FLSA: Exempt

##### SUMMARY:

Assists Operations through collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data related to branch/call center performance, member behavior, and operational metrics. This position must have a deep understanding of data visualization, reporting, and analysis.

##### ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business needs
  • Provide actionable insights to assist with decision-making and operational performance
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards, ensuring consistent tracking of key retail KPIs
  • Monitor and analyze trends in retail operations to help identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed to support Retail Operations business initiatives, special projects, and operational needs
  • Ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of data within the reporting and analysis process, complying with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Serves as primary data liaison between Retail Operations and cross-functional departments
  • This position requires in-depth knowledge of Power BI.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

##### Education:

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Accounting or Statistics

##### Experience and Other Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and actionable manner. Experience working with large datasets, performing trend analysis, and generating insights
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with data
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in retail banking or credit union operations, is highly preferred
  • Confidentiality and dependability required

##### Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

##### Interpersonal Skills:

  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

##### Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Preferred: Power Bi (if not, certification within 6 months)
