Role summary

This is a 100% onsite W2 contract role for a Radar Test Engineer in Foster City, CA, lasting from May to November 2026. The position offers a pay rate of up to $60-$65 per hour, negotiable based on experience. The engineer will be responsible for scheduling and managing vehicle testing, validating radar firmware and next-generation radar systems, handling logistics for test campaigns, managing warranty returns to suppliers, and assisting with thermal testing. Key requirements include an undergraduate degree with at least 2 years of experience, proficiency with Linux and ethernet systems. Preferred qualifications include scripting with Python or other automation tools and experience testing autonomous vehicle hardware.

Location:
100% Onsite in Foster City, CA | 5 days in office

Pay:
Negotiable depending on direct related experience UP to $60 - $65/an hour

Type:

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule vehicle testing structured and unstructured:
  • Radar Firmware validation
  • Next Generation Radar evaluation
  • Follow up on the logistics and arrangement of test campaigns.
  • Handle warranty returns to Radar suppliers.
  • Assist with Thermal testing to validate new trim and enclosures.
  • Radar test setup development - gimbal and test automations scripts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with working on Linux systems.
  • Experience with ethernet systems.
  • An organized mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting with python or other automation tools.
  • Exposure to testing autonomous vehicle hardware systems.
