SMART Goals & KPIs (examples – to refine)

  • Meet or exceed OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery targets with key distributors and customers.
  • Deliver warehouse and freight costs within budget while improving key operational metrics (picks per hour, pick accuracy, damages, claims).
  • Implement and embed agreed process improvements (e.g., S&OP cadence, planning templates, 3PL SOPs) within 6–12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory levels across North American locations and 3PLs, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to support customers.
  • Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock, driving actions to reduce E&O and supporting Finance with provisioning and write-off decisions.
  • Partner with the Inventory Coordinator and Finance to support month-end inventory close, reconciliations, and variance explanations.

Warehouse, 3PL & Logistics Management

  • Own day-to-day and strategic relationships with North American warehouses and 3PL providers, ensuring performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight, domestic and cross-border shipping, and carrier performance.
  • Lead resolution of operational issues and escalations (e.g., delays, damages, shortages, mis-picks), implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Champion effective use of Dynamics 365 Business Central and other supply chain tools, ensuring data accuracy, transaction discipline, and reporting reliability.
  • Support and guide the team in standardising processes, documentation, and SOPs across the region.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Global Supply Chain to align plans, share risk and opportunity, and support commercial priorities.
  • Participate in and help lead S&OP or demand review forums, providing supply chain perspectives and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budget setting and tracking for supply chain costs, including warehousing, freight, and inventory-related costs.
  • Work closely with Quality and Regulatory (where relevant) to ensure compliance in storage, labelling, and transport.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small regional supply chain team (e.g., planners, coordinators), providing clear goals, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the supply chain team and with external partners.
  • Identify, prioritise, and implement process improvements that enhance service, reduce waste, and simplify ways of working.
  • Contribute to global supply chain projects and initiatives, representing the needs and realities of the North American region.
