Role summary
Keystone Consulting is seeking a hands-on Senior Technologist/Lead .NET Web Developer to join their team. This role involves the design, development, modernization, and support of client applications, with a focus on transforming legacy .NET applications to microservices, upgrading accessibility, and migrating identity providers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in C#.NET, ASP.NET, microservices architecture, hands-on architecture/design, frontend development (Angular/React), Oracle/SQL, hybrid and Agile methodologies, and API development. This is a contract position through June 30, 2026, with potential extensions, requiring candidates to be current Wisconsin residents and work a hybrid schedule with initial onsite presence.

Overview:
The selected candidate will play a hands-on senior technologist/lead role in design, development, modernization, and support of our client’s applications.
In addition to the development of new applications and tools, the candidate will provide in-depth analysis and technical expertise for modernization efforts of .NET applications, such as accessibility upgrades, migrating the identity provider, and transforming legacy applications to microservices.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in C#.NET and ASP.NET, full lifecycle testing, microservice architecture patterns, and Agile project management methodology.
Important Details:
Interview Process: Microsoft Teams with video on, 1 - 2 rounds
Duration of Contract: through 6/30/2026 with possible extension
Onsite or Remote: Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation is allowed. The selected hire will need to come onsite on day 1, and then will work mostly remote after that. They should expect to come onsite approximately twice a year.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new applications and enhance and modernize existing applications.
- Solve complex technical problems.
- Provide technical leadership to modernization efforts.
- Develop testing methodology and criteria and implement them on automated build processes.
- Lead efforts to modernize .NET applications following industry best practices.
- Develop application presentation layers using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies such as Angular or React.
- Provide technical leadership to move applications toward microservices and modern looking architecture.
- Work independently utilizing critical thinking and analytical skills.
Required Experience (3-5 years):
- C#.NET
- ASP.NET
- Microservices
- Hands on Architecture/Design experience
- Angular and/or React
- Oracle and SQL experience
- Experience working in Hybrid and Agile Methodologies
- API development
Nice to Have Experience:
- Java/Spring Experience
- Experience working with Liberty
- Leveraging GitHub Copilot or similar GenAI based IDE tools to accelerate software development and testing practices
- Automated Testing Best Practices
- ArcGIS Experience
- Experience working with Box APIs
Benefits:
Hourly rate for 1099: $69.00
Hourly rate for W2: $50.00
