Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Consumer - Advanced Trading)

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Backend (consumer - Advanced Trading) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $218,025 – $256,500 annually
Responsibilities

• Power highly performant and available trading systems globally
• Architect robust systems supporting various trading instruments
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to enhance user experience
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship for engineers
• Translate innovative ideas into valuable customer features

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
• High standards for product excellence and customer obsession
• Ability to mentor and empower team members
• Up-to-date with industry standards and best practices
• Proficiency in using generative AI tools in workflows
