Director, Software Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Software Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $156,000 – $312,000 annually
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and improvements
• Lead scalable system design and delivery aligned with business objectives
• Mentor engineering teams to foster technical quality and innovation
• Drive business and engineering metrics to inform decision-making
• Oversee requirements and define solutions that meet customer needs
• Establish standards for code quality, security, and deployment
• Implement CI/CD practices and track metrics to enhance system reliability

Qualifications

• 7+ years in leadership roles with a focus on building advertising products and ads measurement
• Experience in hiring and developing engineering managers and individual contributors
• Proven track record in coaching senior engineers and leaders
• Experience managing remote or hybrid teams effectively
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong full-stack development experience across web, backend, and infrastructure
• Deep understanding of product strategy and design with experience in experimentation and data-driven development
