Software Engineering Director

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineering Director to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $170,500 – $284,100 annually
Responsibilities

• Lead and support multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions
• Translate product and business strategy into clear engineering plans and technical roadmaps
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices and standards across teams
• Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to design resilient systems
• Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, promoting a culture of growth
• Support hiring and performance development to build strong engineering teams
• Champion agile delivery and modern tooling for improved quality and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership roles
• Experience leading teams through the full software lifecycle in complex environments
• Strong understanding of modern application development and cloud platforms
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on problem solving
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
