Senior Blockchain Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Blockchain Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $186,065 – $218,900 annually
Responsibilities

• Identify gaps in Crypto-Security infrastructure and drive cross-functional initiatives
• Perform security assessments and threat modeling for blockchain protocols and smart contracts
• Advise software engineering teams on smart contract code and architecture
• Collaborate with tooling teams on internal blockchain security tools
• Identify automation opportunities and develop Proof of Concepts for tooling
• Research and investigate novel blockchain innovations and upgrades
• Publish findings and present talks about vulnerabilities and risks

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of blockchains, especially EVM chains
• 4+ years of security engineering experience with a blockchain focus
• Extensive expertise in architecture and threat modeling for crypto systems
• Deep knowledge of cryptography and application security relevant to blockchain protocols
• Familiar with onchain activities like DEXs, smart contracts, and NFTs
• Ability to communicate complex security risks to a variety of stakeholders
• Experience in cross-functional roles with leadership capabilities
