Principal Software Engineer, AI Automation

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer, AI Automation to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $297,670 – $350,200 annually
Responsibilities

• Architect advanced Agentic AI systems for seamless automation
• Tackle critical AI challenges, ensuring reliability and observability
• Create foundational tools for AI integration across the organization
• Collaborate on automation strategies to maximize operational leverage
• Combine software engineering prowess with cutting-edge AI principles
• Mentor and uplift engineering teams in AI practices

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in AI/LLM systems and applications
• Proven track record in backend engineering with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Strategic experience influencing technical strategy across diverse teams
• Deep familiarity with multi-agent frameworks and generative AI
• Exceptionally forward-thinking with a 18-month industry outlook
