Manager, Ads Data Engineering

A leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space is seeking a Manager, Ads Data Engineering to shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. This role involves partnering across technical and business teams to transform complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering leadership within the Ad tech domain, with strong programming and SQL skills, and experience with distributed data processing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Ads Data Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $360,000 – $920,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to build high-scale, reliable data processing systems in the Ads domain
- Develop a comprehensive team vision and roadmap
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse stakeholder group to enhance team synergy
- Provide direct, constructive feedback while supporting team members' growth
- Monitor team productivity and efficiency to prioritize innovation efforts
- Recruit and develop a diverse, high-performing data engineering team
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with strong programming skills and SQL proficiency
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience in the Ad tech domain
- Proven ability to advocate for investments in efficiency, innovation, and long-term value
- Experience in attracting and building diverse, high-performing teams
- Empathetic communication skills for handling tough conversations and team growth
- Strong technical background to guide teams in delivering effective outcomes with a BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with distributed data processing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Flink
