For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Social Commerce to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $248,000 – $279,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Build cross-platform purchase flows and social gifting experiences in voice, chat, and mobile
- Own projects end-to-end, including scoping, designing, and iterating based on data
- Engage with game studio partners to identify needs and improve tools
- Collaborate with product, design, and game developers to navigate product ambiguity
- Partner with other teams to design shared commerce frameworks across the company
- Elevate engineering standards through code reviews and technical guidance
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with cross-functional project leadership
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript/React, and mobile with React Native
- Product-focused mindset, able to collaborate with PMs and designers
- Comfortable with ambiguity and quick iterations through A/B testing
- Strong problem-solving abilities based on first principles
