Role summary

A leader in the Enterprise Technology space is seeking a Director, Field Sales Engineering to build and lead a new product sales engineering organization. This role involves hiring and mentoring a high-performing team, partnering on go-to-market strategies, and engaging with customers as an executive sponsor and technical leader. The position requires managing performance against adoption and revenue goals, developing frameworks for technical adoption, and creating feedback loops to influence product development. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience managing technical teams, preferably in sales engineering, with proven success in hiring and developing talent.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Field Sales Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $191,240 – $239,050 annually
Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a New Product Sales Engineering organization
  • Hire and mentor a high-performing team of specialist SEs
  • Partner with various teams to define go-to-market strategies
  • Engage with customers as an executive sponsor and technical leader
  • Develop frameworks to accelerate technical adoption

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • 7+ years managing a technical team, preferably in sales engineering
  • Proven success in hiring and developing leadership talent
  • Experience with scalable feedback loops to improve processes
  • Knowledge of SE capacity planning for global sales needs
  • Experience integrating software tools for performance measurement
  • Competency in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results
