Senior Director - Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director - Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Business Services workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $188,000 – $282,000 annually.
Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans for cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure alignment and scalable services
• Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure while embracing emerging technologies
• Align services to comply with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a strong cloud compliance posture by implementing best practices
• Collaborate with teams to improve operational maturity and service quality
• Drive accountability for cloud cost optimization across teams and vendors
• Own and manage the cloud infrastructure and platform engineering budget
• Engage with vendors to ensure strategic alignment and value delivery
• Mentor and grow high-performing cloud teams while fostering innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
• Proven experience in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, OCI) and hybrid cloud architectures
• Demonstrated ability to align cloud platform strategy with business outcomes, including cost optimization
• Proven leadership experience building and scaling enterprise cloud platforms that support multiple business units
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing cloud P&L drivers
• Track record of influencing senior executives and translating technical capabilities into value propositions
