Role summary
A leader in the Media space is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their GenAI Platform team. This remote role requires 10+ years of experience in ML Engineering, AI Platform Engineering, or Cloud AI Deployment, with a focus on leading technical strategy and delivering scalable AI platforms in cloud environments. Responsibilities include defining the vision, strategy, and architecture for the GenAI Platform, driving development of an LLM Gateway, and establishing MLOps/LLMOps standards. Proficiency in Kubernetes, cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud), and infrastructure-as-code is essential. Familiarity with Go and Python is preferred. The role emphasizes influencing technical direction and translating AI capabilities into scalable strategies.
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Genai Platform to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $292,500 – $409,500 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision and strategy for the company’s large-scale GenAI Platform
- Define architecture and operating model for reliable GenAI product deployment
- Drive development of a unified LAG Gateway for internal and external LLMs
- Set strategic direction for core platform capabilities like rate management and failover
- Establish standards for MLOps and LLMOps across the development lifecycle
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align platform investments with user needs
- Influence technical direction by translating emerging AI capabilities into scalable strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in ML Engineering, AI Platform Engineering, or Cloud AI Deployment roles
- Proven ability to lead technical strategy and deliver AI platforms in cloud-based environments at scale
- Strong execution skills in driving complex projects from strategy to high-quality execution
- Experience operating Kubernetes and orchestration systems in large-scale production environments
- Proficient with cloud technologies for ML platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud, with infrastructure-as-code experience
- Familiar with programming languages and frameworks relevant to ML, such as Go and Python
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Advocate for platform user experience with a strong intuition for the genAI product development lifecycle
