Sign up to see compensation estimateFor our client, we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer 5 - Live SRE to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $388,000 – $558,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in observability and scalability to handle API traffic for live streaming
- Automate, execute, and analyze functional and performance testing for live streaming delivery
- Write and review code while debugging complex intersystem issues
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders for live event execution
- Participate in on-call rotations and accommodate flexible hours for live events
Qualifications
- 5+ years of service reliability and operational experience in high-performance systems
- In-depth knowledge of L4 Load Balancer, HTTP cache, and reverse proxy technologies
- Expertise in Unix/Linux systems and TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols such as DNS, TLS, and HTTP(s)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Rust, etc.)
- Experience with real-time and Big Data analytics technologies (Kafka, time series databases, Spark SQL, etc.)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams
- Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science or related field
