Sign up to see compensation estimateFor our client, we are seeking a Vice President Laboratory Software Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Pharmaceuticals & Biotech workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $239,800 – $299,700 annually.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise laboratory informatics strategy
- Modernize homegrown informatics systems via platform consolidation
- Make critical build-vs-buy decisions for technology investments
- Develop a multi-year roadmap to support growth and regulatory compliance
- Ensure that platforms support high-throughput laboratory operations
- Collaborate with teams to optimize lab workflows and automate processes
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of 200 professionals
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in laboratory informatics or enterprise software for regulated environments
- Proven leadership of large organizations (100+ people) at senior levels
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory workflows from accessioning to sample tracking
- Experience in modernizing legacy systems with architectural transformations
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
