Manager, Software Engineering - Platform Delivery

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Software Engineering - Platform Delivery to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $169,000 – $228,600 annually
Responsibilities

• Influence architecture and design decisions with clear visibility into cost drivers
• Embed cost-awareness into engineering decisions through collaboration
• Challenge assumptions and guide teams towards efficient solutions
• Translate complex infrastructure usage into financial narratives for leadership
• Support budgeting and forecasting with data-driven models
• Drive visibility and optimization of cloud costs across various vendors
• Establish systems for cost allocation and anomaly detection

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
• 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers or technical teams
• Deep experience with public cloud environments, particularly AWS, and modern SaaS architectures
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data-intensive workloads, and cloud cost drivers
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs between cost, performance, and scalability
