Role summary

We are seeking a System/DevOps Engineer to support and maintain both on-premises and AWS-based infrastructure. The role involves building and managing AWS services, automating code deployments with Jenkins pipelines, configuring web servers (Apache, Nginx), and designing/supporting containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Responsibilities include system analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and preparing change plans. The engineer will also manage networking, databases, and utilize scripting, IaC tools, CI/CD, monitoring solutions, and version control systems. Collaboration with engineering, security, and network teams is essential, along with participation in an on-call rotation. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3-5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Job Summary – System/DevOps Engineer

  • Support and maintain both on-premises and AWS-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Build, configure, and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, APIs, etc.).
  • Script, create, and modify Jenkins pipelines to automate code deployments.
  • Configure and maintain Apache and Nginx web servers.
  • Design, build, and support Docker containers and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS).
  • Perform system analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trend analysis.
  • Prepare and execute change plans for system implementations or updates.
  • Provide technical guidance and documentation; participate in on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and network teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
  • Utilize scripting (Bash, Python), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI), monitoring/logging solutions (Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Manage networking (load balancing, firewall rules, certificates) and database administration (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Employ Agile tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Redmine.
  • Requires 3–5+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering/DevOps and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
